About Triad Diamond Ski Club The inception of a ski club was generated in the minds of several guys from Winston-Salem" target="_blank">http://www.winston-salem.com/">Winston-Salem who enjoyed their weekend's car pooling to a ski resort and spending their day carving down a mountain. Many times while taking breaks on the slopes or in the lodge these guys would say "MAN, I WISH OUR FRIENDS COULD EXPERIENCE AND ENJOY THIS WITH US", and from there the snowball began rolling. Triad Diamond Ski Club TDSC is a minority operated club whose purpose is to promote snow skiing and other outdoor activities all year long for its members and guest. TDSC was chartered August 1988 and incorporated as a non-profit organization by the North Carolina State Attorney Generals office. TDSC is the first African-American operated ski club in North" target="_blank">http://www.sips.state.nc.us/">North Carolina. T.D.S.C is a proud member of the National" target="_blank">http://www.nbs.org/">National Brotherhood of Skiers.The NBS is a non-profit organization that unites predominately African-American ski clubs under one national banner. Its primary goal is to find, select and fund high potential youth capable of winning a berth on a US" target="_blank">http://www.usskiteam.com/">US SKI TEAM. One of our most proud moments was when we developed our Little Diamond Ski Club, youth program in 1997. Currently we have 30 members, an executive board and a coaching staff. The overall mission of our youth program is to develop our youth into outstanding scholars, athletes and citizens of tomorrow.
