Epic for Everyone
Youth Access Program

Epic for Everyone Youth Access Program introduces young people of color to skiing and snowboarding.

We take participants to Keystone and Snowcreek 5 times/per year. Resort passes, lessons, equipment, clothing, transportation, food, and fun are all provided.

Why?

It's an investment in our future.

Our young people want to be happy, healthy, and good stewards of the natural world and we aim to support that need.

As ambassadors of the outdoors, participants will engage in a half-day workshop to develop their ability to craft social media content and design and organize events promoting the outdoors.

PROGRAM PURPOSE

Vail Resorts and Katz Amsterdam provides an ongoing commitment to increase youth access to outdoor recreation. NBS is one of the nonprofit partners who works to support youth with a focus on historically marginalized populations in major metropolitan areas surrounding Vail Resorts’ locations.  For the 2023-2024 season, NBS Rocky Mountain Region includes Denver, CO and Kansas City, MO.

The purpose of the Epic for Everyone program is to support equitable access, continued engagement, and career opportunities for individuals across Vail Resorts communities to help grow the sport and create a more diverse and representative community within snowsports.

PROGRAM TARGET AUDIENCE

New to Snowsports

The core of this program is to introduce snowsports to youth and communities who have not previously had access, exposure, or representation within the industry. This program is intentionally built to support never-ever and beginner participants as youth explore snowsports and get to know what skiing & snowboarding can offer.

Age Range

Newly recruited youth participants for the 23-24 season should be in 6th Grade or above.  As we seek to provide a long-term approach we want to ensure that the curriculum career introduction portion of the program is age appropriate and we have the resources to support youth through a multi-year program through their time in youth serving organizations.
